Description
Calwell Lane was originally the Balmoral Vineyard planted by Rosemount. An electrically charged top flight expression, it certainly shows the step up. Barrel fermented and matured nine months in French hogsheads, 20% new.
“The intensity of fruit flavour here is excellent. Start to finish, this is a wine of genuine concentration. It has great energy too; the flavours seem to wash through your mouth at speed. It’s pretty damn impressive. It tastes of stonefruit, ginger, oak spice and lemon curd, with smoky mineral notes dancing on the finish.
