Lino Ramble Solitaire Grillo 2021

Description

This ancient Sicilian variety is grown in Chalk Hill Viticulture’s Lanark Vineyard.  Fun fact – Grillo also serves as the base grape variety of Marsala.  Two days of skin contact, wild fermented in old French oak hogsheads.  Full malolactic fermentation with periodic lees stirring.  Rests in seasoned oak 11 months before bottling.

A delicious style of mid weight stonefruit, preserved lemon/lemon rind and red apple.  Finishes with a soft waxy note giving intrigue.
