Description

Enseigners is a lieu-dit (unclassified plot of vines) which abuts Bâtard-Montrachet – unquestionably some of the most hallowed ground to grow Chardonnay.  2017 is the first year Florence opted to bottle this parcel separately, and we’ve secured a minuscule allocation.

Insane depth here – a touch less acid spine than the standard Puligny, but so densely packed of white flowers, Chardonnay fruit and nutty, waxy texture, rich and hedonistic but with amazing poise.  A wine which needs a year or two down and will reward handsomely with further cellar time.
