Description
Serious Chardonnay, hand picked and wild fermented, with roughly 25% new oak, 18 months in barrel all up.
Ravishing natural acidity sets up an intense wine, delivering white peach, lime, and a long dry salted butter core. Delicate complexities and serious length, would certainly please Old World chardonnay devotees.

Altaness / Huon Valley, Tas
A New Label From Experienced Hands
Duncan Ferguson and Susana Fernandez earned note and acclaim during their time at Cascabel, McLaren Vale, a label renowned for alternative varieties. Having sold the operation and seeking a change, the couple relocated to the Huon Valley in southern Tasmania, with a vision for true cool climate viticulture.
While the new estate’s plantings become established, fruit has been sourced from good local growers to comprise this first release Pinot Noir, with a Chardonnay soon to follow. Ethos is toward wines of elegance and perfume, and we are delighted to introduce this new chapter of the Ferguson and Fernandez winemaking journey.
