From a single vineyard in Sellicks Hill, certified organic

From a three acre vineyard cropped at 1.5 tonnes to the acre. Huey’s is vinified in half tonne batches over multiple picking runs (tries), and raised in French hogsheads (300L Seguin), 1/3 new. The flagship wine of Massey and unashamedly a hedonistic style of generosity and power.

A black wine on all levels - licorice allsorts, black fruits, even a black label, though it's kept fresh around its weight through a nice profile of natural acid, maintains an elegance around its power.  Very much a partner for a juicy steak.

Massey

Generous small batch wines made with a whole lot of love

Bevan Ferguson established Massey with the 2004 vintage, from the get-go making hearty and generous wines.  From vineyards around McLaren Vale, these are small batch hand-made wines in a contemporary fruit bright style, borne of larger format oak, wild ferments, and vineyards farmed to organic principles. The reds are typically released with bottle age, and firmly fit the bill for experiences of comfort or hedonistic drinking.
